Adjustabel Sling

Getting Started Threading your Balboa Sling
Hold the Sling with the elastic trim up. Pull the toggle and tail through both rings and slide to appropriate size – see “Fitting your Sling”. Now that you have created a loop make sure that the Sling is not twisted. Slide the safety stopper and tail back through one ring and pull the fabric through until tight.

You may secure the safety stopper by pulling it through the tail holder. Hold the sling with the rings in front and the padded back strap in back. Place one arm and your head through the loop. Wearing the Sling on your right shoulder makes it easier to use your left arm and vice versa. However, choose the side that is most comfortable for you. Place the rings at your shoulder level where you would wear a corsage. Pull the padded back strap away from your neck so it sits slightly off your shoulder.
Fitting your Sling
Pull the safety stopper through both rings. Your Sling can adjust from size X-Small to size X-Large and anywhere in-between. After you have selected your size, see “Threading your Sling”. Sling should fit snug before you place the baby in it, just below your bust line and above your waist.
Cradle Style Great for newborns and for breastfeeding
Hold baby with baby’s head on the side with the rings. Pull outer elastic trim of the Sling open. Place baby in the Sling bottom first. Make sure the inner elastic trim of the Sling is pulled up and the baby is positioned in the pocket of the sling. Adjust baby’s position so baby is comfortable.

Cuddle StylePerfect for newborns and babies that like to be closer to mom
Hold baby facing out, resting against your should without the rings. Pull the outer elastic trim open and lower baby into the sling bottom first. Make sure the inner elastic trim of the Sling is pulled up and baby is positioned between the two pieces of elastic trim. Make sure baby is seated comfortably. Wrap the outer elastic trim up and around the baby’s back and neck to ensure stability.

Front Carrier StyleBabies who can hold their heads up and want to see the world
Hold baby facing you on the side without the rings. Hold baby’s legs up and lean back so baby rests against your chest. Pull the outer elastic trim open and slide baby into the Sling bottom first. Baby’s legs can be bent and crossed or stretched out to one side. Make sure the inner elastic trim of the Sling is pulled up and baby is positioned between the two pieces of elastic trim. Let baby move into a comfortable position before you start to walk.

Hip Carrier StyleBabies who can sit without support
Hold baby facing you on the side without the rings, above your hip. Slide baby’s legs through both pieces of elastic trims. Pull the inner elastic trim down around the back of baby’s knees and sit baby’s bottom in the Sling. Slide baby down to your waist so baby is seated on your hip with one leg in front and the other in back straddling your hip. Wrap the outer elastic trim around baby’s back to ensure stability.
